Twilight Racer Teaser Part(02)
Welcome back,
In this post, I will hop into Blender3D and start explaining how I created the general layout of our concept art (you can reference the image from Part(01)). I will not be explaining how to use Blender3D but will include some tips and tricks. If you have a basic understanding of the software it will help you follow along, but is not necessary.
Okay, starting with Blender3D, this project was created using version 3.5.0
Below is a list of AddOns I recommend for any project and they are already available in Blender: Edit>Prefernces>Add-ons
Add-ons List:
Node Wrangler
Loop Tools
Import Images as Planes
Archimesh
If you use Blender and don't already have these enabled I recommend them.
Now with all that out of the way, I started by building the main area, and for a size reference, I have a “Test_Dude” that is six feet tall. (Note that I will not be going over the creation of the Star Car)
I did not focus on the details as I wanted to get a feel for the amount of space there is to work with. Next, I made some random basic objects to help fill the room and help me with the vision, camera angles, and paths. Once I have a basic layout I am going to start working on the main subject which is the Robot.
In the next post, we start the character-creation process.
