There and Back Once More - Session 3

Tonight we embark on our third session of our journey through Middle-Earth. Last we left off, the party had killed a group of possibly bandits and apparently a noble couple headed west to find a better life. After the party continued forward, they all found themselves taking shelter in a small, run-down cottage at the foot of the ruins of the legendary tower of Amon Sul.

The party has been imprisoned in Carn Dûm, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Angmar. This fortress, previously thought to have been abandoned, is teaming with activity as orcs, goblins, and many more malicious figures prowl its halls. The party antagonized the orc guards enough to open their jail cell for a proper beat down, when our adventures came out swinging. The halls now echo with rushed footsteps, searching for our party as they hide in the storage room, deep within Carn Dûm.

Having chipped their way through challenging puzzles, the party has discovered a great treasure within the deep halls of Carn Dûm; chests worth of mithril and gold! Still essentially trapped within the ancient fortress, the party has much to do in order to earn their freedom! Orcs, goblins, wargs, and a great many other significant foes roam the halls in search for the escapees. Carrying much important intel, and now mithril, the party will continue their brave escape tonight at 9PM EST!

After escaping Carn Dûm by unleashing a cave troll to sow chaos, the party fled into Angmar. Ambushed by wargs, they were saved by Gandalf and the Great Eagles, who carried them to the Ettenmoors. Now free, they must choose: seek Rivendell, return home, or continue on elsewhere to press forward in the hunt for the minor seeing stone.

Taking time to settle in at Rivendell, the party anxiously awaits the completion of their mithral-based weapons and armor they've requested by the Elven smith. During a productive conversation with Elrond, the party learned of suspicious reports coming from the ancient Dwarf ruins that lie in the southern parts of Ered Luin, otherwise known as the Blue Mountains. It is suspected with a high degree of certainty that was the party is after lies there. In this great session, we make our way to Mithlond.
